Newcastle United’s 2024/25 Adidas home shirt went on sale on June 7 after the Tyne outfit signed a five-year contract worth north of £30 million per season with the German sportswear giants.
Eddie Howe’s side parted ways with Castore at the end of last season, trusting Adidas to deliver a blend of innovation and tradition that meets the club’s high standards.
The new home kit looks quite different compared to last season.
Back with Adidas, the Magpies return to the three stripes after wearing an eight-stripe jersey in 2023/24. According to Newcastleunited.com, the new design draws inspiration from the classic 2002/03 Adidas home kit.
The home kit pays homage to the iconic era of three bold black stripes and a full-color crest.
It blends modernity with timeless classic elements, complemented by Adidas’ signature three stripes on the shoulders extending up to the collar.
In a nod to the club’s rich history, the classic club crest is featured as a back neck sign-off, aiming to inspire Howe’s squad to uphold the club’s legacy.
As for the away kit, it’s not up for sale yet, but online leaks suggest it’s a throwback to one of Adidas’ most iconic Newcastle shirts in 1995/96, featuring horizontal blue and red stripes with a white trim.
While waiting for the Magpies to unveil away and third kits in July and August, respectively, fans can find other Premier League kits here, showcasing the latest designs from clubs across the elite division.
Key differences will be the front-of-shirt sponsor Sela and the enlarged Adidas logo.
Newcastle announced a lucrative multi-year sponsorship deal with the Saudi Arabian conglomerate last summer to replace FUN88 as the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor.
It won’t be long before Howe’s men don their superb-looking new jersey in Premier League action, with the Magpies commencing the new campaign on August 17 against newcomers Southampton.
