Newcastle United defied expectations last season as they secured Champions League football for the first time in 20 years.
They also came very close to breaking their trophy drought when they made it to the Carabao Cup final, but eventually lost 2-0 to Manchester United.
Eddie Howe’s side look to have made a solid start to the Premier League summer transfer window, with AC Milan’s Sandro Tonali set to arrive at St James’ Park soon.
With the 2023-24 season beginning in August, there is still plenty of time remaining before the Magpies return to league action.
But the good news for fans is that the club’s pre-season fixtures will start from next month.
The Tyneside club will lock horns with National League side Gateshead on July 15 at the International Stadium.
They will then head to Scotland to take on Rangers at the Ibrox Stadium on July 18. This will be the Magpies first visit to Ibrox since the two teams played out a 1-1 draw in August 2013.
Eddie Howe’s men are also participating in the Premier League Summer Series that will take place at five different venues in the United States.
Aston Villa, who finished seventh in the English top-flight, will be their first opponent at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on July 23.
They will then face Chelsea three days later at Atlanta United’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The Magpies will conclude their US tour on July 28 when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion at the Red Bull Arena.
